Infrared is a form of radiation, which belongs under the non-ionizing- radiation that do not interact with the atoms of the human body- group, just like the ultrasound and radiofrequency among others.

Infrared, in a form of heat, can be found in various areas. Some familiar examples are the infrared pen-like device used as pointers during a presentation, an infrared is also used by the snipers (as seen on some war movies), and now it is used in sauna and it’s called far infrared sauna.

This is not harmful as it only penetrates the muscle, thus causing a relaxing relief as compared to conventional steam bath. I think the only negative effect of this is the heat production but not enough to cause burns, especially that it is regulated. Some of the benefits of this infrared sauna are weight loss, relieves muscle pain relief, detoxification and increases blood flow thus, improving blood circulation.

See? Radiation is not that harmful, after all.

I like that sauna but the stain kinda ruins it for me. I really like this Infrared Sauna. See how the right color can make all the difference.

This is pretty interesting. It would be just like sitting in front of a heater, which is indeed relaxing. I don’t think laser pointers are infrared though, because we wouldn’t be able to see them then.
